From owners who switched to itemized.
"Our old agency charged $3,200 a month and I could never tell you what they did. Now I get a list: 4 posts, 8 pages, 61 reviews requested, grid position 2.1. That is a different relationship."
"The geo-grid map sold me. We ranked #1 at the office and #14 across town where the money is. Ninety days later most of that grid is blue."
"I asked three agencies what I would get for my money. Two sent me a deck about their process. One sent me a numbered list with prices. Guess which one I hired."
Local SEO FAQs, straight answers.
What owners ask before paying anyone to work on their Google rankings.
What is local SEO and why does it matter?
Local SEO is the work that makes your business show up when nearby people search for what you sell, in the Google Map Pack, the organic results, and now AI answers. It matters because local searches carry buying intent: someone searching "dentist near me" usually books within days. Showing up in the top three map results captures most of those clicks and calls, while businesses further down get a small share of the attention.
How much do local SEO services cost?
Across the industry, local SEO runs $500 to $3,000 per month for a single location, and national agencies average over $3,000. Our packages are $500 per month for Local Foundations and $2,500 per month for Local Domination, both 3-month terms with every deliverable itemized above. Watch for agencies that hide quantities: a price only means something when you know how many pages, posts, citations, and keywords it covers.
How long does local SEO take to work?
Expect 60 to 90 days before rankings move in a way you can feel, and 4 to 6 months before the full effect shows in calls and leads. Citations, reviews, and on-page fixes land earliest. Competitive markets and brand-new websites take longer. Anyone promising page one in two weeks is not being straight with you, and our geo-grid baseline lets you see the real movement month by month.
How does local SEO get me into the Google Map Pack?
Google ranks the Map Pack on three things: relevance, distance, and prominence. We improve relevance with the right Business Profile categories, services, and page content. Distance is fixed, so we win more of the surrounding area with service and location pages. Prominence comes from reviews, citations, local links, and profile activity. The geo-grid report shows exactly where in your city you rank, block by block.
What is the difference between citations and link building?
Citations are directory listings of your name, address, and phone number on sites like Yelp and Apple Maps. They prove your business data is consistent everywhere Google checks. Link building means earning links from other websites, like local news or a chamber of commerce, which builds authority. Both matter, and they are different deliverables with different costs. Our packages include both, itemized separately.
Is there a contract?
Yes, and it is short. Every package is a 3-month term. We do not do month-to-month because SEO cannot prove itself in 30 days. We also do not do 6 or 12-month lock-ins because you should not have to pay for a year to find out if we are any good. At day 90 you renew, switch packages, or leave with everything we built.
Do you optimize my Google Business Profile?
Yes. Full optimization is part of the launch sprint in both packages: categories, services, description, photos, and attributes. Local Domination adds ongoing management with 4 posts per month, Q&A monitoring, and photo updates. We never take ownership of your profile. You stay the owner, and we work as a manager.
Can local SEO work if I do not have a storefront?
Yes. Plumbers, cleaners, mobile groomers, and other service-area businesses can hide their address on Google and still rank across the areas they serve. The strategy leans harder on service-area pages, reviews that mention the neighborhoods you work in, and citations. The geo-grid shows how far from your base address your visibility reaches.
Do you work with multi-location businesses?
Yes. Each location needs its own Business Profile, location page, citations, and review flow, so pricing is per location. Multi-location clients also get a roll-up report that compares every location's grid rank, calls, and reviews side by side, so you can see which ones need attention first.
Do you use AI to write the SEO content?
We use AI in the drafting process and a human reviews, edits, and approves every piece before it publishes. Every post is built from your actual keyword data and written for your local market, with local details AI cannot invent. Nothing goes live without human sign-off.
Will local SEO help me show up in Google AI Overviews?
It is the foundation of it. AI Overviews and tools like ChatGPT pull heavily from Google Business Profiles, reviews, and structured local content. Both packages include AI visibility tracking, and Local Domination adds active AI search optimization: schema markup, entity cleanup, llms.txt, and a monthly AI visibility report.
How do you get more Google reviews without breaking the rules?
We ask every real customer, at the right moment, through email in Foundations and email, SMS, and QR cards in Domination. We never buy reviews, gate them, or offer rewards for them, all of which break Google's policies and can get reviews removed. Domination also drafts a response to every review, good or bad.
Can I do local SEO myself?
Some of it, yes. Our free local SEO audit checklist covers the first 20 fixes. Where owners usually stall is consistency: monthly content, citation cleanup, review requests after every job, and tracking rankings across the whole city. That ongoing work is what the packages cover.
What happens after the first 3 months?
You get a 90-day report against your day-one baseline and you choose: renew for another 3-month term, move up or down a package, or walk with everything we built. The content, citations, and profile work are yours either way.
